Here we are one week out and my living room is getting pretty full of wonderful donations for the orphanages we will be visiting. Books, paper, markers, bathroom products, clothes, soccer balls (World Cup in South Africa this summer) along with several cash donations and even a digital camera (thanks Melissa). All this has been very inspirational to receive and Paul and I are honoured to have the chance to deliver all these wonderful extensions of human community - we will be posting pics as we find homes for these things:)
We are getting our last shots today and stocking up on immodium, pepto etc. Personally I can't wait to start experiencing the various cultures and music. I have heard despite what we perceive as challenging living conditions there is often an inherent happiness in these people.
